a. What is labor safety training?

• The labor safety training in Bac Giang is a specialized training course on labor safety for people working in industrial, construction, manufacturing, and high-risk occupations. This training course is organized by Nam Viet’s labor safety professional training centers at Tan Hung Industrial Park.
• In this course, trainees are provided with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure safety for themselves and colleagues while working. Training topics include labor safety laws and regulations, identifying and assessing potential risks, methods for inspecting and maintaining safety equipment, first aid skills, and emergency handling procedures.
• For businesses, labor safety training not only enhances the capability and efficiency of employees but also ensures compliance with labor safety laws and minimizes the risk of accidents during production and business operations.

Labor safety training duration depends on many factors such as type of job and occupation. However, the total exact training duration for each group is regulated in Article 19 of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP

• Group 1: 16 hours
• Group 2: 48 hours
• Group 3: 24 hours
• Group 4: 16 hours
• Group 5: 16 hours
• Group 6: 4 hours

c. Training content

Labor safety training content includes knowledge and skills necessary to minimize labor accident risks, ensuring safety for workers and business assets. Specifically, training may include the following content:

1. Knowledge of labor safety laws and regulations of the state and enterprises.
2. Knowledge of risks and types of labor accidents in the workplace.
3. Skills and methods of using personal protective equipment and general protective equipment.

5. Handling dangerous situations and organizing rescue when labor accidents occur.
6. Knowledge of workplace environmental protection.

d. Labor safety training certificate

Labor safety and hygiene training certificate

• The labor safety and hygiene training certificate form is described in detail in form 08, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP, and is issued to groups 1,2,5,6.
• The certificate measures 13 cm x 19 cm, with a sky blue front side.

Labor safety card

• The labor safety card form is described in detail in form 06, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP
• Group 3 workers will be issued a labor safety card (commonly called Group 3 labor safety certificate).
• The card measures 60 mm x 90 mm, with front and back content shown as below.

The employer may issue a Group 3 labor safety card to the trained worker after passing the evaluation and having a labor contract between both parties.

Training record book

• The training record book for groups 1, 2, 5, 6 is described in detail in form 09, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• The training record book for group 3 is described in detail in form 10, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP
• The training record book for group 4 is described in detail in form 11, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP
• Group 4 is only issued a record book without a Group 4 safety certificate.
