Among these industrial parks, Khai Quang Industrial Park stands out as a milestone in the history of economic development in our nation.

Khai Quang Industrial Park was approved by the government and added to the planning of industrial parks in Vietnam under Decision No. 1107/QD-TTg dated 21/08/2006. With a planned area of 262 ha, Khai Quang IP quickly attracted the attention and investment of both domestic and foreign investors.

Later, on 11/09/2006, Khai Quang Industrial Park was officially established under Decision No. 67/2006/QD-UBND of Vinh Phuc Province. The investor of the industrial park is Vinh Phuc Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company, with the operating term set at 50 years from September 2003.

Since then, Khai Quang IP has continuously developed and adjusted its detailed planning, first in 2007 and subsequently in the following years. According to decisions of the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc Province and the Prime Minister, the planned area of the industrial park was reduced to 221.46 ha, of which industrial land for lease accounts for 73.81% of the planned area.

With a prime geographical location, Khai Quang IP has built a solid infrastructure to support production activities. The power supply system was invested with a 110/22kV transformer station and 22kV transmission lines ready to connect to each land plot in the industrial park. Clean water is supplied by Vinh Yen City’s water treatment plant with a capacity of up to 32,000 m3/day and night. At the same time, the wastewater treatment system is well developed, meeting discharge standards according to Class A.

The location of Khai Quang IP is also a major advantage. Situated in Khai Quang Ward, Vinh Yen City and neighboring communes of Binh Xuyen District, the industrial park enjoys convenient connections to major transportation routes and key economic centers in the North. It is within easy reach of Vinh Yen City center, and only about 27 km from Noi Bai International Airport.

Currently, Khai Quang IP has completed its infrastructure construction and attracted over 80 investment projects with nearly 900 million USD in registered capital. Among them, 69 projects are foreign direct investment (FDI), bringing diversity and richness to the industries operating in this industrial park. Notable names such as Sun Hua Industrial Co., Ltd., Haohsing Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd., TOYO TAKI Vietnam JSC, and Diamond Industrial Co., Ltd. have played an important role in the development and improvement of production quality at Khai Quang IP.

a. What is occupational safety training?

• The occupational safety training in Vinh Phuc course is an intensive program on occupational safety for people working in industry, construction, manufacturing, and other high-risk sectors. This training is organized by Nam Viet’s occupational safety training centers at Khai Quang Industrial Park.
• In this course, trainees will be provided with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure safety for themselves and colleagues during work. The topics include legal regulations on occupational safety, identifying and assessing potential risks, methods for inspecting and maintaining safety equipment, first aid skills, and handling emergency situations.
• For enterprises, training employees on occupational safety not only enhances their capacity and work efficiency but also ensures compliance with labor safety regulations and reduces the risk of workplace accidents during production and business activities.

Occupational safety training duration depends on many factors such as job type, industry… However, the exact training duration for each group is specified in Article 19 of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP

• Group 1: 16 hours
• Group 2: 48 hours
• Group 3: 24 hours
• Group 4: 16 hours
• Group 5: 16 hours
• Group 6: 4 hours

c. Training content

Occupational safety training content includes the knowledge and skills necessary to minimize the risk of workplace accidents, ensuring the safety of workers and enterprise assets. Specifically, safety training may cover:

1. Knowledge of occupational safety laws and regulations of the state and enterprises.
2. Knowledge of risks and types of workplace accidents.
3. Skills and methods of using personal protective equipment and common protective equipment.
4. Methods to minimize risks and ensure safety during work.
5. How to handle dangerous situations and organize rescue in case of accidents.
6. Knowledge of workplace environmental protection.

In addition, the training content may be adjusted to suit specific industries and working conditions.

d. Occupational safety training certificate

Occupational safety and hygiene training certificate

• The sample certificate is described in Form 08, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP, and issued for groups 1, 2, 5, and 6.
• Accordingly, the certificate size is 13 cm x 19 cm, and its cover is sky blue.

Occupational safety card

• The card sample is described in detail in Form 06, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP
• Workers in group 3 will be issued an occupational safety card (commonly referred to as occupational safety certificate for group 3).
• The card size is 60 mm x 90 mm, and the front and back sides are displayed as shown below.

The employer may issue group 3 safety cards to trainees after they meet the requirements and there is a valid labor contract between the two parties.

Trainee monitoring book

• The monitoring book for groups 1, 2, 5, 6 is described in Form 09, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• The monitoring book for group 3 is described in Form 10, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• The monitoring book for group 4 is described in Form 11, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• Specifically, group 4 is only issued a monitoring book and not a group 4 safety certificate.
