The content of occupational safety training includes the knowledge that workers will learn during the safety training course, as regulated by Article 18 of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP and its amendments in Decree 140/2018/ND-CP.

3. Occupational Safety and Hygiene Training Program for Group 3

Group 3 includes workers who perform tasks or work with machinery requiring strict occupational safety standards. Therefore, the Group 3 safety training content varies widely depending on the working environment and job nature.
Accordingly, the Group 3 training content differs for each specific job, so Decree 44 clearly stipulates the specialized training content.

5. Occupational Safety Training Program and Content for Group 5

The training content for the Occupational Medical Specialty Certificate included in the Group 5 occupational safety training program has been removed, with a duration of 29 hours (theory and practice).
The final course examination time has also been reduced by 3 hours (from 4 hours to 1 hour).

In summary, the total training duration of the Group 5 occupational safety training program has been reduced by 32 hours (from 48 hours to 16 hours).

This update and amendment are clearly specified in Clause 9, Article 1 of Decree 140/2018/ND-CP and Article 2 of Decree 140/2018/ND-CP.

6. Occupational Safety Training Program and Content for Group 6

Workers participating in the safety network and safety officers, apart from the occupational safety and hygiene training content as prescribed, also receive additional training on Group 6 training content about skills and methods of operation for safety officers as follows:

Note: The training duration for the above training groups is for workers undergoing initial occupational safety training. For those undergoing periodic occupational safety training, the periodic training duration must be at least 50% of the initial training duration.
