1. Overview of printing ink
a. What is printing ink?
- Printing ink is a liquid or solid substance used to create images and characters on various surfaces through printing. Printing ink can contain chemical compounds such as dyes, additives, and solvents to create different properties for printing on various surfaces, including paper, fabric, metal, plastic, glass, and wood.
- Currently, the printing ink production industry in Vietnam is developing quite rapidly. These businesses not only supply printing ink for the domestic market but also export to many international markets.
- However, the printing ink market in Vietnam still faces some certain challenges. One of those challenges is price competition with imported products from China, India, and Thailand. In addition, the technical staff in the printing ink field is still limited, requiring more investment and training to improve product quality and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam’s printing ink production industry.
