b. Training Duration
Initial safety training duration
- Total training duration is at least 24 hours, including exam time.
- 8 hours of theory on safety policies and labor hygiene laws
- 8 hours of theory on basic occupational safety and hygiene knowledge
- 4 hours of theory on specialized training content
- 2 hours of practical training on specialized content
- 2 hours of theory test at the end of the course
The training center will divide the duration into multiple sessions depending on employee scheduling. Typically, there are 6 sessions over 3 days, provided the manufacturing company can arrange continuous learning time.
Periodic safety training duration
- Before the occupational safety card expires, employees seeking renewal must attend periodic occupational safety training with a duration of at least 50% of the initial training duration.
Explanation: The total duration of periodic occupational safety training is at least 12 hours, including exam time. After completing the periodic training and passing the test, the employee will have the safety card renewed.

d. Occupational Safety Card
After completing the occupational safety training and passing the test, employees will be issued an occupational safety card (commonly known as occupational safety certificate for Group 3).
The Group 3 safety card displays information such as: full name, date of birth, specific job and work environment, training duration, official stamp, and signature confirming course completion.
According to regulations in Clause 2, Article 24 of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP, there are two cases:
- If the employer and employee have a labor contract, the employer must sign, stamp, and seal the safety card for the Group 3 employee after training and passing the exam from the training institution.
- If the employee is freelance or seasonal, without a labor contract, the training institution must sign, stamp, and seal the safety card after the employee completes the training and passes the exam.

3. Identifying Hazards Affecting Workers in Manufacturing Zinc Wire
The hazards that may affect workers in zinc wire manufacturing include:
- Hazards from equipment and machinery: The equipment and machinery used in zinc wire manufacturing can pose risks to workers such as collisions, cuts, crushing, grinding, stamping, and ejection.
- Hazards from materials and chemicals: Zinc wire manufacturing involves many chemicals such as acids, alkalis, metal compounds, toxic substances, and other allergens. Workers may suffer poisoning, toxicity, or burns if exposed to these chemicals.
- Hazards from noise: Zinc wire manufacturing generates high levels of noise, which can cause hearing problems for workers.
- Hazards from dust and fumes: Zinc wire manufacturing also produces dust and smoke that are harmful to workers’ health.
- Electrical hazards: If electrical equipment in the factory is not regularly maintained, lacks proper insulation, or is not waterproof, it can pose a risk of electric shock to workers during manufacturing.
