According to information from Mr. LNH, a visitor at Saigon ITO Hospital on Nguyen Trong Tuyen Street.
There was a patient, an engineer at a beer brewing factory in Long An, whose initials are NVA, responsible for daily machine inspections. His work repeated steadily day after day. NVA was known to be a careful person, always double-checking everything before doing any task.
That day, however, NVA checked the machine but forgot to inspect the surrounding equipment. As he reached his hand into the machine, the drum casing suddenly popped open, and NVA’s hand was cut, severing two ring fingers, each losing one phalanx. At the hospital, he needed 5 days of wound care before the injury stabilized enough to prepare for surgery. His wife, who is a teacher, took advantage of the weekend to bring him meals.

With tears welling up, NVA shared: “I am always careful when checking the machines. I don’t understand why, just that one time, I suddenly got careless and skipped the inspection—and just one moment of carelessness caused this. After the accident, my health is no longer the same, working becomes harder, and my productivity has decreased.”
This shows how terrifying workplace accidents can be—just a single moment of negligence can lead to a heavy price.
