Fisherman lost part of his leg in an accident in Ca Mau on December 14, 2022

The patrol boat of the Ca Mau Department of Fisheries promptly assisted and brought a fisherman, who lost a part of his leg while working at sea, safely to shore for emergency treatment.

On December 14, a maritime occupational accident brought tears to the eyes of fellow fishermen when a part of a leg was severed. However, the patrol boat of the Ca Mau Department of Fisheries arrived in time to rescue the victim, ensuring he was quickly and safely brought to shore for emergency care.

Earlier, around 1:30 PM on December 13, while performing duties at sea near Hon Chuoi Island, Inter-Agency Team 335 received a distress signal from a fishing vessel.

The Ca Mau Fisheries Inspectorate boat approached the fishing vessel BT-98146 to rescue the injured fisherman. In this emergency situation, they acted quickly, transferred the injured person to shore, and provided rapid medical assistance, safeguarding the victim’s health.

The fisherman injured in the maritime occupational accident is Mr. H.V.C (45 years old, residing in Ba Tri District, Ben Tre). When the accident occurred, the BT-98146 vessel planned to take Mr. C. to Hon Chuoi Island to receive support from the local border post. However, during transit, they encountered the Fisheries Inspectorate boat and sent a distress signal for assistance.
