Through a remarkable development process, Son Loi Industrial Park has gradually affirmed its important position in Vietnam’s economic development. Looking back at the historical formation of Son Loi Industrial Park, we cannot ignore the strategic orientation and determination from the Government of Vietnam. Under Official Dispatch No. 1051/TTg-KTN dated 04/07/2008, the Prime Minister approved the addition of Son Loi Industrial Park planning with an expected area of up to 300 ha. This opened a new opportunity, marking a strong start for the formation and development of this industrial park.

However, it did not stop there, Son Loi IP went through other important stages in its formation and development. Through Decisions No. 1807/QD-UBND dated 09/07/2015 and 1632/QD-UBND dated 24/06/2021 of Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee, the detailed planning of this industrial park was adjusted and approved. The planned area of Son Loi was specified as 276.47 ha, including 257.3504 ha of industrial park land and 19.1196 ha outside the industrial park. This demonstrates the concern and commitment of local authorities in creating optimal conditions for the development of Son Loi IP.

The support and encouragement from management agencies and authorities also contributed significantly to the success of Son Loi Industrial Park. The Management Board of Vinh Phuc Industrial Parks issued an investment registration certificate to An Thinh Vinh Phuc Construction Investment Co., Ltd., marking the official start of the investment project in infrastructure construction and business of Son Loi. With a total investment capital of more than 1,864 billion VND and an operation term of 50 years, this project has created strong momentum for the industrial park and contributed to promoting the local economy.

By nature, Son Loi Industrial Park was built as a modern and reliable industrial center. With synchronous technical infrastructure, Son Loi focuses on modern and high-tech industrial production sectors, especially mechanical engineering, equipment manufacturing, electronics, rubber, cosmetics, chemicals, and many other industries. At the same time, with a prime location near IC3 interchange, Hanoi – Lao Cai expressway, close to Noi Bai International Airport and major city centers, Son Loi becomes an attractive destination for domestic and foreign enterprises.

The infrastructure system of Son Loi Industrial Park is also invested and built synchronously. The power supply system is provided from Vinh Yen 2 110kV/22kV substation and in the future, an internal Son Loi substation is expected to be built. The current water supply comes from Ba Hien Water Plant and Phuc Yen Water Plant, and will be replaced by Phuc Binh Water Plant in the future. The wastewater treatment system is collected and processed at the central wastewater treatment plant, ensuring cleanliness and environmental safety.

a. What is occupational safety training?

• The occupational safety training in Vinh Phuc course is an intensive training program on occupational safety for those working in industry, construction, manufacturing, and high-risk sectors. This training is organized by Nam Viet occupational safety training centers at Son Loi Industrial Park.
• In this course, trainees will be provided with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure safety for themselves and their colleagues during work. The training topics include occupational safety laws, identifying and assessing potential risks, methods of inspecting and maintaining safety equipment, first aid skills, and handling emergency situations.
• For enterprises, providing occupational safety training to employees not only enhances employee capacity and work efficiency but also ensures compliance with labor safety laws and minimizes the risk of workplace accidents during production and business activities.

b. Training duration

Occupational safety training duration depends on many factors such as job type, industry… However, the exact training duration for each group is regulated in Article 19 of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP

• Group 1: 16 hours
• Group 2: 48 hours
• Group 3: 24 hours
• Group 4: 16 hours
• Group 5: 16 hours
• Group 6: 4 hours

c. Training content

Occupational safety training content includes the necessary knowledge and skills to minimize workplace accident risks, ensuring safety for workers and company assets. Specifically, occupational safety training may include:

1. Knowledge of occupational safety laws and regulations of the state and enterprises.
2. Knowledge of risks and types of workplace accidents.
3. Skills and methods of using personal protective equipment and collective protective equipment.
4. Methods to minimize workplace accident risks, ensuring safety during work.
5. How to handle dangerous situations and organize rescue operations when accidents occur.
6. Knowledge of workplace environmental protection.

In addition, the training content can be adjusted according to specific industries and working conditions.

d. Occupational safety training certificate

Occupational safety and hygiene training certificate

• The occupational safety and hygiene training certificate template is described in form 08 appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP and is issued for groups 1, 2, 5, 6.
• Accordingly, the certificate size is 13 cm x 19 cm, its cover has a sky blue color.

• The inside of the certificate has a white background and its content is displayed as below.

Occupational safety card

• The occupational safety card template is described in detail in form 06 appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• Workers in group 3 will be issued an occupational safety card (commonly called occupational safety certificate group 3).
• Accordingly, the card size is 60 mm x 90 mm, and its front and back content is displayed as below.

The employer may issue group 3 safety cards to trained workers after passing the required tests and having a labor contract between the two parties.

Training monitoring book

• The training monitoring book for groups 1, 2, 5, 6 is described in detail in form 09 appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• The training monitoring book for group 3 is described in detail in form 10 appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• The training monitoring book for group 4 is described in detail in form 11 appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• For group 4, only a monitoring book is issued without a group 4 safety certificate.
• The content in the monitoring book for group 4 is shown as in the image below.
