1. Overview of Son My Industrial Park
a. History of Son My Industrial Park
Binh Thuan, a coastal province of Vietnam, has marked a significant milestone in its development history with the establishment of two notable industrial parks: Son My 1 and Son My 2. These are key milestones highlighting local economic progress and paving the way for sustainable development in Central Vietnam.
Son My Industrial Parks 1 and 2 were established under Decision No. 2563/QD-UBND dated 01/09/2016 of the Binh Thuan People’s Committee, aiming to promote detailed planning and development of industrial parks in the province. Covering areas of 70 ha and 540 ha respectively, these industrial parks have attracted numerous major projects from domestic and foreign investors, generating strong demand for factory leasing and attracting skilled workforce to the region.
Located in the Son My Industrial-Service Complex, Ham Tan District, these parks occupy strategic locations. With convenient connections to major economic centers such as Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang City, and near National Highway 1, they serve as a solid link for industrial activities and logistics. The construction of the cross-Vietnam highway connecting to National Highway 55 to Ba Ria-Vung Tau further increases development potential and investment attraction.
Infrastructure of Son My Industrial Parks 1 and 2 is built to international standards. The power system uses a 35Kv grid line and a 110Kv transformer station, providing large capacity supplied by EVN. Water supply meets both living and production needs at 7,000 m3/day, ensuring stable water sources from the industrial park plant. Additionally, drainage systems, telecommunications services, and road networks are modernly designed, facilitating smooth production and business operations.
