1. Overview of Tri Le Industrial Park
a. History of Tri Le Industrial Park
Nghe An, a central province of Vietnam, is famous for its vast fields, gentle rivers, and people who value tradition. However, beneath the peaceful surface, an industrial revolution has emerged from this land — the formation of Tri Le Industrial Park, a symbol of progress and contemporary economic strength.
On October 29, 2019, an important milestone was etched into Nghe An’s economic history when Decision No. 4419/QĐ-UBND was issued by the People’s Committee of Nghe An Province, along with a detailed 1/500 scale construction plan for Tri Le Industrial Park. Under the blazing central sun, solutions to the increasingly scarce industrial land were proposed, and Tri Le, with its large area and attractive costs, became a promising destination for many investors.
To the north, the Lam River surrounds the park like a natural boundary, adding a beautiful natural highlight. To the south, National Highway 7 runs through, facilitating the transport of goods from across the country, making commercial activity vibrant. To the west, the Lam River continues to serve as a protective border, while to the east, the Tri Le urban area flourishes, creating a perfectly balanced geographical location for the industrial park.

The main causes of workplace accidents in industrial parks include:
- Failure to meet occupational safety standards: Some industrial parks do not meet safety standards or lack personal protective equipment for workers.
- Employees not fully trained: Some workers are not fully trained in occupational safety and do not know how to use protective equipment.
- Lack of safety equipment: Some parks lack safety equipment such as stairs, railings, emergency exits, fire systems, etc.
- Lack of supervision: Some parks do not have safety supervisors or supervision is insufficient, and safety equipment is not regularly checked.
- Excessive working hours: Some workers work too long or do not have sufficient rest, causing fatigue and mistakes at work.
- Non-compliance with safety regulations: Some workers do not follow safety regulations or fail to wear adequate protective equipment, leading to workplace accidents.
5. Measures to Control Workplace Accidents in Tri Le Industrial Park
To control workplace accidents and create a safe working environment, Tri Le Industrial Park needs to implement a series of strict and effective measures to ensure worker safety and minimize risks during production and work activities. Below are some workplace accident control measures that Tri Le Industrial Park can implement:
- Enhance training and education: Training and education on occupational safety are essential to raise workers’ awareness of risks and accident prevention measures. Training programs should be tailored to each profession and specific job, and knowledge about occupational safety should be regularly updated.
- Conduct regular safety inspections: Regular safety inspections help detect potential issues early and address them before accidents occur. Systems, equipment, and tools must be checked, maintained, and repaired regularly to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
- Apply safety technology and equipment: Using advanced safety technologies and equipment can help reduce risks during production and work. For example, applying automation in hazardous stages can minimize human intervention and reduce the risk of accidents.
- Build and maintain a safety culture: Create a work environment that promotes a safety culture, requiring participation and collaboration from all members of the industrial park. Management should foster shared responsibility for safety, ensuring compliance with safety rules is a top priority.
- Establish accident reporting and monitoring systems: A workplace accident reporting system helps evaluate the effectiveness of current control measures and suggest improvements for the future. Monitoring accidents and other hazardous situations also helps identify trends or changes that may cause accidents.
- Create safe zones and restrict access to hazardous areas: Ensure that work areas are designed for safety and that dangerous zones are appropriately arranged, preventing unauthorized access to high-risk areas.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE): Ensure workers are provided with adequate PPE suitable for their tasks, such as helmets, gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear. Proper use of PPE can reduce accident risks and protect workers’ health.
- Periodically conduct workplace environment monitoring in factories, collect and analyze harmful factors affecting workers, and adjust to reduce hazards to prevent occupational diseases for them.
