Labor safety training duration depends on many factors such as job type, sector, etc. However, the exact total training time for each group is regulated in Article 19, Decree 44/2016/ND-CP

• Group 1: 16 hours
• Group 2: 48 hours
• Group 3: 24 hours
• Group 4: 16 hours
• Group 5: 16 hours
• Group 6: 4 hours

c. Training course content

Labor safety training content includes the knowledge and skills needed to minimize workplace accident risks and ensure safety for employees and enterprise assets. Specifically, labor safety training may include:

1. Knowledge of labor safety laws and regulations of the state and enterprises.
2. Knowledge of hazards and types of workplace accidents.
3. Skills in using personal protective equipment and general safety equipment.

5. How to handle dangerous situations and organize rescue when accidents occur.
6. Knowledge of workplace environment protection.

d. Labor safety training certificate

Labor safety and hygiene training certificate

• The certificate template is described in form 08, Appendix II, Decree 44/2016/ND-CP and is issued for groups 1,2,5,6.
• The certificate measures 13 cm x 19 cm, with a sky-blue front cover.

Labor safety card

• The labor safety card template is described in detail in form 06, Appendix II, Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• Group 3 employees will be issued a labor safety card (commonly called labor safety certificate Group 3).
• The card measures 60 mm x 90 mm, with front and back content displayed as shown below.

Employers can issue a Group 3 labor safety card to the trained employee after passing the assessment and having a labor contract between both parties.

Training tracking book

• The tracking book template for groups 1, 2, 5, 6 is described in detail in form 09, Appendix II, Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• The tracking book template for group 3 is described in form 10, Appendix II, Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• The tracking book template for group 4 is described in form 11, Appendix II, Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• For group 4, only a tracking book is issued, without a Group 4 safety certificate.
