1. What is Group 6 labor safety training?

• Labor safety training group 6 is a course that equips safety and sanitation officers with skills and operational methods. Accordingly, the content of the safety and sanitation officer training is based on Article 18 Decree 44/2016/ND-CP and the following positions can belong to the group 6 safety and sanitation officers: team leader, squad leader, shift leader, production line leader…
• The labor safety training course will help Group 6 members grasp how to organize the apparatus, manage and implement regulations on labor safety and sanitation at the facility; define responsibilities and delegate authority for labor safety and sanitation work.

2. Training duration for labor safety group 6

a. Initial training duration for group 6 safety

The total time for training is at least 4 hours in addition to the content already trained on labor safety and sanitation. This includes:

• 3 hours of theoretical study on the skills and operational methods of safety and sanitation officers
• 1 hour for the final exam of the training course

Typically, group 6 will be trained in a single session.

b. Periodic training duration for group 6 safety

Before the labor safety training certificate expires, if an employee wants to renew it, they must undergo a periodic labor safety training course, with a periodic safety training duration of at least 50% of the initial safety training duration.

This means the total periodic training duration for group 6 is at least 2 hours, including the exam time. After completing the periodic training course and passing the exam, the employee will be re-issued or have their Group 6 labor safety training certificate renewed.

3. Content of the Group 6 labor safety training course

Employees participating in the safety and sanitation officer network, in addition to the required labor safety and sanitation training content, are also given supplemental Group 6 training content on the skills and operational methods of safety and sanitation officers as follows:

• After completing the Group 6 labor safety training course and passing the exam, the employee will be granted a Group 6 labor safety training certificate (also known as the labor safety certificate Group 6)
• Accordingly, the safety training certificate will clearly state information such as: full name, gender, date of birth, nationality, citizen identification number or ID card number, position, and workplace. It also includes the training duration, a red seal, and the signature of the General Director of An Toan Nam Viet Safety and Environmental Monitoring Training Co., Ltd. confirming completion of the training course.

6. Disadvantages of not being trained in Group 6 labor safety

• Group 6 members will not grasp the skills and operational methods of safety and sanitation officers.
• Your business is at risk of violating labor safety laws if employees are not trained in labor safety. This violation has specific penalties regulated in Clause 1 of Article 24, Decree 28/2020/ND-CP as follows:
  • From 5,000,000 VND to 10,000,000 VND for violations from 01 to 10 people
  • From 10,000,000 VND to 20,000,000 VND for violations from 11 to 50 people
  • From 20,000,000 VND to 30,000,000 VND for violations from 51 to 100 people
  • From 30,000,000 VND to 40,000,000 VND for violations from 101 to 300 people
  • From 40,000,000 VND to 50,000,000 VND for violations from 301 people or more
