1. Overview of Sawdust Pellets
a. What are Sawdust Pellets?
Sawdust pellets are a type of product made from sawdust and other lignocellulosic materials. The manufacturing process of sawdust pellets includes compressing sawdust and applying high pressure to form pellets with specific shapes and sizes. Sawdust pellets are usually round or hexagonal in shape, and they have good strength.
Sawdust pellets are commonly used as an environmentally friendly and renewable fuel source in industries such as wood processing, energy manufacturing, and heating. They provide an efficient form of compression and packaging for sawdust and wood industry waste, helping to minimize energy consumption and reduce waste generation.
Sawdust pellets can be used as fuel in furnaces, boilers, or stoves to generate heat for manufacturing processes or as raw materials for other products such as fired bricks, high-density boards, and other construction materials. In addition, sawdust pellets are also used in the boiler industry to supply heat for cooking and heating systems.
b. Types of Machinery for Sawdust Pellet Manufacturing
There are several types of machinery commonly used in the process of manufacturing sawdust pellets. Below are some main machines:
- Crusher: The crusher is used to grind sawdust and other lignocellulosic materials into powder or smaller particles. Crushers can vary in size and capacity depending on the manufacturing scale.
- Mixing machine: The mixing machine is used to mix ground sawdust with binders and other components such as fly ash, flue ash, welding ash, or other supporting powders. The mixing process helps bind the sawdust and create a uniform mixture.
- Pellet press: The pellet press is important machinery in the sawdust pellet manufacturing process. This machine applies high pressure to the mixed material to form sawdust pellets with specific shapes and sizes. Pellet presses can be mechanical or hydraulic.
- Pellet cutter: The pellet cutter is used to cut sawdust pellets into the desired size and shape. This machine can be equipped with automatic or manual cutting systems depending on the manufacturing scale.
- Post-processing machine: Post-processing machines such as dryers or furnaces are used to dry sawdust pellets after pressing. The post-processing helps remove moisture and ensures sawdust pellets have higher durability and quality.
These machines can be customized and adjusted depending on the manufacturing scale and specific requirements of the sawdust pellet manufacturing process.
c. Sawdust Pellet Manufacturing Enterprises in Viet Nam
