a. What is labor safety training?

• The labor safety training course in Vinh Phuc is an in-depth training program on occupational safety for those working in industry, construction, manufacturing, and high-risk professions. This training is organized by Nam Viet occupational safety training centers at Ba Thien Industrial Park.
• In this course, trainees will be provided with the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure safety for themselves and colleagues during work. Training topics include legal regulations on occupational safety, identifying and assessing potential risks, methods of inspection and maintenance of safety equipment, first aid skills, and handling emergency situations.

Labor safety training duration depends on many factors such as type of work, industry… However, the exact total training duration for each group is regulated in Article 19 of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP

• Group 1: 16 hours
• Group 2: 48 hours
• Group 3: 24 hours
• Group 4: 16 hours
• Group 5: 16 hours
• Group 6: 4 hours

c. Training content

Labor safety training content includes the necessary knowledge and skills to minimize occupational accident risks, ensuring worker safety and protecting company assets. Specifically, labor safety training may include the following:

1. Knowledge of occupational safety law, state and company safety regulations.
2. Knowledge of risks and types of occupational accidents in the workplace.
3. Skills and methods of using personal protective equipment and general protective devices.
4. Methods of minimizing workplace accident risks, ensuring safety during work.
5. How to handle dangerous situations and organize rescue operations when occupational accidents occur.
6. Knowledge of workplace environmental protection.

In addition, training content may be adjusted to suit each type of industry and specific working conditions.

d. Labor safety training certificate

Labor safety and hygiene training certificate

• The labor safety and hygiene training certificate sample is described in Form 08, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP and is issued to groups 1, 2, 5, 6.
• Accordingly, the certificate sample measures 13 cm x 19 cm, with a sky-blue cover.

Labor safety card

• The labor safety card sample is described in detail in Form 06, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP
• Group 3 workers will be issued a labor safety card (commonly referred to as labor safety certificate for group 3).
• Accordingly, the card sample measures 60 mm x 90 mm, with front and back content shown below.

The employer may issue a group 3 safety card to the trained worker after passing the required assessment and having a labor contract between both parties.

Training record book

• The training record book sample for groups 1, 2, 5, 6 is described in detail in Form 09, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• The training record book sample for group 3 is described in detail in Form 10, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP
• The training record book sample for group 4 is described in detail in Form 11, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP
• For group 4 only, a training record book is issued without a group 4 safety certificate.
