The duration of occupational safety training depends on factors such as job type and industry. However, the total training hours for each group are regulated under Article 19, Decree 44/2016/ND-CP:

• Group 1: 16 hours
• Group 2: 48 hours
• Group 3: 24 hours
• Group 4: 16 hours
• Group 5: 16 hours
• Group 6: 4 hours

Occupational Safety and Hygiene Certificate

• The certificate format is described in Form 08, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP and is issued for Groups 1, 2, 5, 6.
• The certificate size is 13 cm x 19 cm, with a sky-blue front cover.

Occupational Safety Card

• The safety card format is detailed in Form 06, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• Workers in Group 3 are issued an Occupational Safety Card (commonly called a Group 3 Safety Certificate).
• The card size is 60 mm x 90 mm, showing information on the front and back as illustrated below.

Employers may issue a Group 3 safety card to a worker after passing the safety training assessment and having a valid labor contract between the parties.

Training Record Book

• Training record book formats for Groups 1, 2, 5, 6 are described in Form 09, Appendix II of Decree 44/2016/ND-CP.
• Group 3 training record book is described in Form 10, Appendix II.
• Group 4 training record book is described in Form 11, Appendix II.
• Group 4 only receives a record book without a Group 4 safety certificate.
