1. Overview of Ha Noi Dai Tu Industrial Park
a. History of Ha Noi Dai Tu Industrial Park
Back on August 23, 1995, a historic milestone occurred with the establishment of Ha Noi Dai Tu Industrial Park, marking the first foreign-invested industrial park in the capital city of Ha Noi. Initially, this industrial park aimed to attract manufacturing projects from Taiwanese enterprises, hoping to bring breakthroughs and economic growth to the capital region.
However, reality did not unfold as expected. Over nearly 30 years, Ha Noi Dai Tu Industrial Park has not fully attracted major investment projects as anticipated. This led the Taiwanese investors to withdraw from the project, leaving the task to the Construction and Infrastructure Development Company under the Vietnam Investment and Development Group (VID).
In 2005, the vision of Ha Noi Dai Tu Industrial Park underwent a significant shift. The new orientation aimed to attract investment from other countries such as South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam, which brought positive changes to the industrial park’s operations. Situated near important transportation routes such as the Ha Noi Hai Phong Expressway, National Highway 1A, and National Highway 5, Ha Noi Dai Tu Industrial Park continues to assert its strategic position, facilitating easy access to key economic and cultural areas.
